ApexDrop Featured in "Undercover Billionaire: Comeback City"
ApexDrop, the Erie-based influencer marketing agency, will be featured in the new Discovery series “Undercover Billionaire: Comeback City,” premiering Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at 10 p.m. ET.
In the first season of the popular “Undercover Billionaire” series, self-made businessman Glenn Stearns put his entrepreneurial skills to the test by building a million-dollar company within 90 days and with only $100 in his pocket. Stearns helped to build Underdog BBQ on West Lake Road in 2019. He returns to Erie for “Undercover Billionaire: Comeback City,” this time to help businesses struggling with the impact of 2020’s economic shutdowns, providing them with guidance as they adopt new business models and position themselves for growth.
To provide support for Erie’s small businesses, Sterns challenged ApexDrop to adapt its influencer marketing strategy, which typically helps national and international companies, such as Russell Athletics, Claire’s and Foster Grant. ApexDrop connects brands with micro influencers who generate authentic social media content based on their experiences with the company and its products or services. The successful marketing strategy helps brands grow online engagement, website traffic, and new customers.
At Sterns’ urging, ApexDrop created a new strategy to drive awareness and foot traffic to help local businesses, such as The Tipsy Bean, an Erie café.
