Presque Isle State Park will have designated beaches open and available for swimming beginning Wednesday, May 30 through and including Friday, June 1. Please refer to the signs at the entrance of the Park for daily updated information, as they will state what beaches are open and guarded.

The following beaches are scheduled to open on Wednesday, May 30 through and including Friday, June 1 and will be open from noon until 7:30 PM daily:

  • Beach 1 West
  • Barracks Beach
  • Beach 6 (Lyons Beach)
  • Beach 10 (Budny Beach)
  • Beach 11 (Kohler Beach)

Please be advised that the beachfront concession stands located at Beaches 6, 10, and 11 will be open. Also, be advised that an ADA access ramp will be placed temporarily at Beach 11. The ramp provides ADA access to the water’s edge and is adjacent to picnic areas, playground equipment, and a reservable picnic pavilion. Upon completion of construction at Beaches 7 and 8, ADA access at Beach 11 will close and be replaced with ADA access at Beach 8.

Please note that the remaining Presque Isle State Park beaches are open to the public.

Visitors may not swim outside the designated guarded zones; however, they may wade up to their knees, no more than 10 feet from the shoreline in the unguarded areas.
