Free Office Space Contest Continues to

Professional Development Associates, Inc. (PDA, Inc.) for the 5th year in a row is giving away free office space (including utilities) for one year! The 2018 contest continues to “Connect the Counties” – Erie and Crawford. This year, the contest will be giving space away outside of Renaissance Centre (the location for the past four years). Tom Kennedy, President of PDA, Inc. said, “We have created a great culture at Renaissance Centre. We want to continue to expand that transformation down State Street in Erie and Meadville in Crawford County.” This year space will be given away at Palace Centre, 915 State Street in Erie and again at Parkside Commons on Diamond Park in Meadville. Up to 1,500 square feet of space will be given to the winner.

The official kickoff of the contest took place on Wednesday, August 29th at 12:45 p.m. in the Atrium of Palace Centre, the first commercial building acquired by Tom Kennedy in 1996.

During the kickoff, Tom Kennedy announced a new element of this year’s contest. The past four contests have included space at Renaissance Centre. This year, space will be given away just a ½ of block away from Renaissance Centre at Palace Centre and again at Parkside Commons in Meadville. We want to continue to  “Connect the Counties”. Tom states, “I truly believe in the great things happening in Northwest PA and our entrepreneurs are making a big difference. We want to do what we can to continue to spark growth in the region.”

Both Palace Centre and Parkside Commons are great downtown office locations with several amenities: custom spaces, affordable rates (utilities included), high-speed internet and close to shopping and restaurants.

To enter the Office Giveaway, contestants should visit and submit information stating how free office space would benefit his/her business. Applicants will then need to schedule a tour. A panel of judges, unrelated to Palace Centre and Parkside Commons will choose the winner.

Heather Fish, Owner of Foundry CoWork at Parkside Commons and last year’s winner says, “Winning the 2017 Office Giveaway Contest kick-started my career and has given the community a space to work and collaborate. As a young, emerging entrepreneur, the contest gave me the opportunity to follow through with my big idea and see it to fruition. Since opening Foundry CoWork, I've been able to connect more than 35 members, host dozens of community events and conferences, encourage local people to do their best, work together, and we even won New Business of the Year!  Winning the Office Giveaway Contest has allowed me to focus on building my business and building relationships in this essential first-year.  None of this could have happened without the physical space that the Office Giveaway provided.”
