Gannon University Welcomes Students to Fall Open House

Gannon University is welcoming prospective students and their families to campus for its annual Fall Open
House on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to experience the possibilities Gannon has to offer interested
students currently making their college choices.

At Open House, prospective students pursing their undergraduate degrees, including transfer and non-traditional students,
will receive an informative and engaging introduction to college life at Gannon and experience campus first-hand.
Students and their families will have the opportunity to learn more about Gannon’s innovative undergraduate academic
programs and small class sizes, which offer a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio. They will meet current students and talk with
faculty experts who bring real-world experience and hands-on learning into Gannon’s classrooms and laboratories.

Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to experience everything from making Gannon their new home, to
getting involved on campus and career planning for life after graduation. Students and their families will connect with
representatives across campus such as residence life, student clubs and organizations, dining services, learning abroad,
commuter life, campus police and safety, as well as with coaches from Gannon’s 20 varsity sports and 10 club sports
teams. Gannon’s financial aid and admissions team will also be available to answer questions and provide helpful tips and
hints for beginning this important and exciting next step in the students’ education.

Campus tours will be provided at Open House during which students and their families will have the opportunity meet and
hear first-hand more about the college experience from the Gannon Family as they explore the new exceptional learning
environments across campus, residence halls and amenities such as Gannon’s Recreation and Wellness Center.

Registered high school seniors are invited to compete in one of five academic contests to win four-year awards of $500 to
$3,000 annually. Contests will be administered at 10 a.m. for registered students in the areas of Health Professions and
Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences; Education; Engineering and Computer Science; and Business.
