Response to COVID-19
The Erie Regional Chamber continues to closely monitor the latest updates from the CDC and remains in constant contact with local government entities regarding COVID-19. At this time, our offices remain operational and are a resource for local businesses during this time of uncertainty.
Any business experiencing difficulties as a result of COVID-19: please call our offices or complete this brief form so that we can work to provide temporary solutions where possible.
We ask all businesses to review the CDC’s interim guide for business and industry as well as the Small Business Administration’s guide for a business and employee response plan. The Pennsylvania Chamber has also assembled a resource page for businesses.
Our team remains committed to providing as many stop-gap, short term solutions as possible. To that end, if your business could assist other businesses in the region, please contact the Erie Regional Chamber immediately. The more we can find regional solutions, the more we can minimize the impact on our region’s economy.
For example, contact the Erie Regional Chamber if your business could assist with the following issues (including but not limited to):
- setting up remote work capability
- creating infectious disease protocol for employees and related operational policies and procedures
- handling disruption in industry supply chain
- transportation or shipment delays
While circumstances will evolve quickly, we believe all precautionary and feasible measures are worth implementing to reduce the overall, long-term economic impact to our region.
We will continue providing updates as necessary. For official medical updates, please reference the Erie County Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Health communication channels.
