This afternoon we celebrated a new addition to the Shriners Hospitals for Children - Erie, a $1.2 million EOS Imaging System. These x-ray units, the only ones in the region, allow for fast, stress-free, low-dose radiation exams for children with hip, knee, and spine conditions. The EOS uses up to 90% less radiation, particularly important to many children being treated at the facility who receive multiple scans yearly.

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony made the addition official with remarks from Mary Jane Antoon, Administrator at SHC, Lori Rubert, Manager of Clinical Support Services at SHC, Ozgur Dede, MD, Associate Medical Director at SHC, Roger Neff, Treasurer of the Board of Governors for SHC, Aaron Cook, EOS Representative, County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper, Mayor Joe Schember, and Nancy Irwin, Development Director at ERCGP.

Congratulations on bringing this amazing technology to the region to help the many children in your care!
